Yoga Nidra is a guided, restful meditation that invites you to move out of your Beta “doing” brain wavelengths into the deeper Alpha and Theta “being” brain wavelengths while lying in a comfortable resting position. A Yoga Nidra practice helps reduce the stress and tensions that you carry. It is said that one hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to four hours of deep sleep. Natalie will lead you through some gentle movements and breath awareness, then help you set an intention, and guide you through a Yoga Nidra meditation, ending with an extended Savasana.
This class is open to all levels – no meditation or yoga experience necessary. You are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing; and to grab any other items that will make you as comfortable and cozy as possible (pillows, socks, sweater, etc.). If you tend to get cold, make sure to dress warm as the body temperature tends to drop during relaxation.
